SEPTEMBER 18TH

Mezclada Dance Company brings its quartet Um a Zero to DANCE | HUNGER | ACTION on September 18 at MATCH. The festival brings together Houston artists, students, educators, and community members through performance and service in support of the Houston Food Bank during Hunger Action Month.

Um a Zero showcases Mezclada’s signature fusion of Breaking and contemporary dance, bringing four dancers together through intricate floorwork, rhythmic movement, and dynamic partnering. Mezclada is proud to join fellow Houston artists for an evening that uses dance to connect, engage, and give back to the community.

SEPTEMBER 21ST - 24TH

Mezclada Dance Company brings its concert De Aquí! to the Hobby Center as part of the ExxonMobil Discovery Series, presenting eight performances for nearly 4,000 fifth-grade students from across Houston.

De Aquí! is a vibrant dance concert celebrating the impact of Latin culture on music and dance in the United States. Through a dynamic fusion of Latin dance forms, Hip Hop, and contemporary movement, Mezclada highlights the richness of Latin music and movement while exploring how artists carry their culture, identity, and creativity into a multicultural city. Rooted in Houston’s diverse arts community, De Aquí! offers young audiences an energetic and engaging introduction to the cultural connections that continue to shape American dance and music.

OCTOBER 17TH

Catch Mezclada Dance Company in Joel Aguilera’s newest work, ¡Presente!, an evening celebrating Latin-influenced dance, music, and visual art at LINKS Creative Space. Audiences are invited to experience a multidisciplinary event featuring an exhibition of works by Latin visual artists, live music from featured Latin musicians, and dance works performed by Mezclada Dance Company.

At the center of the evening is ¡Presente!, Aguilera’s newest work exploring Latin culture through Mezclada’s signature fusion of movement, music, and storytelling. Join us for an evening that brings Houston artists and art forms together under one roof.

NOVEMBER 7TH

Mezclada Dance Company brings its Hip Hop educational show Each One, Teach One to Pavilion Palooza at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on November 7! As part of this all-day family festival celebrating music and cultures from around the world, Mezclada takes the stage at 1:15 PM for an interactive journey through Hip Hop dance and culture.

Through Breaking, freestyle, social dances, and audience participation, Each One, Teach One introduces young audiences to the history, foundations, and community behind Hip Hop while keeping the experience energetic, educational, and fun for the whole family.

NOVEMBER 14TH

Celebrate five years of Mezclada Dance Company! Join us on the afternoon of November 14 at LINKS Creative Space as we celebrate five years of dance, community, collaboration, and unforgettable memories.

Spend the afternoon with the Mezclada family as we look back on the company’s journey from its beginnings to five seasons of performances, new works, community programs, and artistic growth. The celebration will feature live music and sounds by DJ YungChris, dance films highlighting moments from Mezclada’s history, hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, a special anniversary toast, and plenty of time to dance, connect, and celebrate together.

Whether you’ve performed with us, collaborated with us, supported us from the audience, taken a class, or are just discovering Mezclada, we invite you to be part of this milestone as we celebrate the people and community who have made the past five years possible and look ahead to what’s next!

DECEMBER 19TH

Mezclada Dance Company launches the first installment of its new Intensive Series with the Mezclada Winter Intensive on December 19 in Houston! This one-day training experience brings dancers together for four masterclasses, all taught by members of Mezclada Dance Company.

Each class will be co-taught by two Mezclada dancers, giving students the opportunity to learn from multiple perspectives and teaching styles throughout the day. The intensive will feature House, Jazz, Breaking, and Commercial dance, offering a diverse day of movement rooted in the versatility and energy of the company.

Join us for a full day of training, community, and movement as we kick off Mezclada’s new Intensive Series and close out the year dancing together!
